Bahamas Congratulates Jamaica on Independence Day

The Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas extends its congratulations to the Government and People of Jamaica as they celebrated their independence on Monday.

The Bahamas and Jamaica’s strong diplomatic relations continue to deepen as the similarities between our cultural and colonial history foster our shared vision for a unified and prosperous Caribbean Region.

Therefore, we are honored to celebrate Independence Day with the friendly nation of Jamaica, one of the family members of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
