WASHINGTON, D.C. – Mr. Theo Neilly, Bahamas Consul General to Washington, D.C., welcomed three Bahamian participants of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellows during a courtesy call at the Embassy Consular Annex of The Bahamas on Monday, 6th November, 2017.
The YLAI is a five-week program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State designed to bring together 250 promising young business entrepreneurs and civil society leaders from across the Caribbean and Latin America to invest in and accelerate the work of young leaders who are making their communities and countries more prosperous,innovative and secure.

 

This year’s fellows representing The Bahamas were accepted out of more than 3,000 applicants.  They are Constentina Hamilton of Grand Bahama, the Founder and President of Proserpina AgTech, a business created to improve the profitability of agribusiness, within the margins of green technology and renewable energy. Another Grand Bahamian participant is Kerel Pinder, Founder and Managing Director of SisBro Productions, an event and production company.  Lastly, Mr. Xavier Knowles of New Providence, co-founder and COO of Bahrezy, a business dedicated to providing affordable and reliable transportation in The Bahamas

Visa Facilitation for Indian Nationals

With immediate effect, visas will be issued on arrival for Indian Nationals who have valid Schengen, UK, USA and Canadian visas.  For other Indian Nationals, visas are required.
