DG BRENNEN-HAYLOCK PAYS COURTESY CALL ON OAS EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Mrs. Sharon Brennen-Haylock, Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Kim Osborne, OAS Executive Secretary for Integral Development, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 primarily to discuss the launch of the 2017 OAS/Government of The Bahamas Scholarship​; however, the Director General also discussed other projects with the OAS such as the already launched Small Business Development Centre Project and the ongoing development of a Cooperation Programme for the University of The Bahamas. She also reiterated the value of the OAS Scholarships and Training Program for The Bahamas and general support of The Bahamas for the development work of the OAS and discussed future potential cooperation to strengthen the training of diplomats in the Ministry. Director General Brennen-Haylock is in Washington for the unveiling of a memorial bust of the late Sir Lynden Pindling, the first Prime Minister of The Bahamas, in the Hall of Heroes at the OAS on Thursday, August 20.
