Mr. Davis joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in October 1992. In October 1997 he was posted to the Bahamas High Commission, London, as “Second Secretary & Vice Consul”. In July 2003 he was posted to the Permanent Mission of The Bahamas to the United Nations in New York as “First Secretary & Consul”. In September 2007 he returned to the Bahamas High Commission, London, as “”First Secretary & Consul”, and served as “Head of Chancery” from 2009 until he left London to return to Headquarters in Nassau in September 2013. He currently holds the post of “First Assistant Secretary” in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, and is Head of the Economic Affairs and Technical Assistance Division.

During his Foreign Service Career he has served as Vice-Chairman of the United Nations Committee for Programme and Coordination (CPC), 44th Session, June 2004; Member of Bahamian delegations to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings (CHOGM), Coolum, Australia, 2002, and in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, 2009; Member of the Grants Committee, Commonwealth Foundation; Alternate Representative to the United Nations General Assembly, New York; Member of the Bahamian Observer Delegation to the World Trade Organisation (WTO); Alternate Representative to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), London; and has represented the country at numerous international meetings, including those of the International Seabed Authority and the ACP Group of States.

Mr. Davis has a degree in International Relations from Beloit College, Wisconsin, USA, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Oxford.
