The Republic of Malawi Celebrates its 54th Anniversary of Independence

In honour of their national day, the Government and people of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas congratulate the Republic of Malawi on the celebration of 54 years of independence. Malawi gained its independence on 6^th July, 1964 and has since continued on the path to self-determination and national development.

The Bahamas and Malawi continue to enjoy cordial relations within the international community both working toward the common good.

The Government and people of The Bahamas wish the Government and people of the Republic of Malawi continued goodwill and prosperity as they continue to advance as a nation.
