Australian High Commissioner-Designate Pays Courtesy Call on the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

His Excellency Bruce Lendon, Non-Resident High Commissioner Designate of Australia to The Bahamas called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Darren A. Henfield, MP, on Monday, 28th October, 2019 and presented his Copie d’Usage. Later the same day he presented his Letter of Introduction to the Prime Minister later that day at 4:00 p.m. The Minister and the High Commissioner discussed a range of issues including Hurricane Dorian, climate change, small island developing states, the use of per capita GNP as a matrix to determine wealth and Australia’s International Coral Reef Initiative. H.E. Bruce Lendon succeeds H.E. John Pilbeam as the Non-resident High Commissioner of Australia to The Bahamas, resident in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
