The National Day of St. Lucia commemorates its Independence from the United Kingdom on 22^nd February 1979.  On this special day for the nation and people, as they commemorate the past, celebrate the present and anticipate the future, The Bahamas offers best wishes for the continued success, health and security of St. Lucia, and for the happiness, unity, and prosperity of its citizens.
