The Republic of Seychelles Celebrates its National Day

Today, the Republic of Seychelles celebrates its Independence Day also known as Republic Day. This marks the day when the country gained its independence from Britain in 1976.

Over the years, The Bahamas and Seychelles have enjoyed steady friendly and cooperative relations. In commemoration of their national day, the Government and people of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas extend congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Seychelles as they honour the country’s national day.  We hope for their continued peace and prosperity.
