Royal Bahamas Defence Force Passing Out Parade

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Royal Bahamas Defence Force conducted its Passing out Parade (POP) ceremony for New Entry 53 Woman Entry 22, Friday morning, April 15, 2016 at Coral Harbour Base.  Minister of National Security, the Hon. Dr. Bernard J. Nottage is pictured delivering the keynote address and inspecting the parade.  To the left during the address, and   immediately behind the Minister on parade inspection is Captain Tellis Bethel, Commander of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (Actg).  New Entry 53/Woman Entry 22, with a complement of 65 males and 17 females, began recruit training January 23, 2016.  Rigorous basic military involved parade drills and a curriculum of 16 disciplines inclusive of professional subjects such as Navigation, Seamanship, Small Arms, First Aid, Firefighting, Communications, and rigorous physical fitness training and swimming.  (Photos/Courtesy Marine Seaman Kyle Smith/ RBDF)
