STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ON THE BAHAMAS’ DELEGATION TO THE FUNERAL OF COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE CUBAN REVOLUTION FIDEL CASTRO RUZ

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration wishes to advise that the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba has declared nine days of National Mourning on the occasion of the passing of the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro from 26 November to 4 December.
 
The Hon. Frederick Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, will lead The Bahamas’ Delegation to the official funeral of the late Commander in Chief, which will be held at Plaza de la Revolucion ‘Jose Marti’ in Havana on Tuesday 29 November at 7:00pm.
 
The Hon. Minister will be accompanied by Mrs. Sharon Brennen-Haylock, Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration; and H.E. Alma Adams, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the Republic of Cuba.
 
The Hon. Minister and Delegation will return to The Bahamas on Wednesday 30 November.
