2020 ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OAS MEMBER STATES

The Department of Human Development, Education & Employment of the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development invites Bahamian nationals to submit applications to become recipients of scholarships at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels beginning studies in August and December 2020.

Applicants are required to submit the following documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

 

  1. Online Application Form.
  2. Copy of the diploma for the highest degree obtained
  3. Copy of transcript of grades for the highest academic degree completed and/or to be completed.
  4. Current transcript as proof of enrollment or admission letter to begin program of studies between August and December 2020.
  5. Two (2) recommendation letters from current or former, professor, supervisor, business leader, etc., stamped and/or signed. If unemployed or never employed, the candidate may obtain recommendations from whom they think can give academic, professional or personal references. Recommendation letters must be written and signed by the recommenders and they cannot come from relatives of the applicant.
  6. Curriculum Vitae (must not exceed 2 pages).
  7. Copy of the Official Identification Card (ID)Government issued ID by the Sponsoring Country or Passport

 

For undergraduate studies applicants only: copy of academic transcript for the Bachelor’s degree program in which currently enrolled. Applicants that intend to transfer credits from previous studies to undertake only the last two academic years of a Bachelor’s degree program must submit copies of the diploma and transcripts for the Associate’s degree previously obtained.
