Minister Mitchell Meets With Incoming Chinese Ambassador

Foreign Minister, the Hon. Frederick A. Mitchell M.P., received with H.E. Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, during a courtesy call on the Foreign Ministry.
Minister Mitchell (R) met with Ambassador Yan on Tuesday 6th August, 2024
The courtesy call allowed the Bahamas and China to renew their strong bilateral relationship and discuss matters of further support between both countries. Matters discussed include military aid, cooperation on infrastructure development, climate resilience and adaptative measures, and technical exchanges.
Ambassador Jerusa Ali, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Bilateral and Regional Affairs Bureau staff attended the meeting.
