Veteran Public Service Professionals Mentor New Foreign Service Officers

Former and senior Foreign Service professionals, H.E. Deputy Governor General Rubyann Cooper Darling and Ambassadors Carlton Wright, Philip Miller, and Professor Gilbert Morris, dialogued with new hires and recruits during the Second Annual ‘Reflective Engagement Session’ facilitated by The Bahamas Alrae Ramsey Institute for Foreign Affairs (BARIFA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nassau, The Bahamas, and moderated by former Permanent Secretary and current Senior Consultant, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Peter Deveaux Isaacs.
The distinguished panel captivated their audience with real-life encounters from their wide range of experiences in the diplomatic field. In doing so, they offered practical and invaluable insights and advice directly applicable to the new generation of diplomats entering the ranks.
The Reflective Engagement, which was a highlight of the 2024 Advanced Placement Programme for newly recruited Foreign Service Officers, was held on Friday, 25 November 2024, in the BARIFA Lecture Hall.
