Saudi Arabia and The Bahamas have enjoyed diplomatic relations since 23rd November 2022. Dr. Alhamoudi’s appointment as Ambassador further solidifies the growing partnership between the two nations in areas of mutual interest, particularly tourism, education, healthcare, capacity building in emerging digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
Notably, both countries have recently updated their visa policies, with The Bahamas allowing Saudi nationals with visas issued by Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States or a Schengen Member state, to enter the country visa-exempt for a maximum of 90 days. While Bahamian nationals are eligible for e-visas to travel to Saudi Arabia.
