Consul General Clayton Fernander Arrives in Toronto
The Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to have welcomed the arrival of our newly appointed Consul General for Canada, Clayton Fernander, on 7th November 2025 at our Consulate Office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Consul General Fernander arrived in Canada on the 6th of November and showed up at the Consulate Office on 7th November to meet with team members. His official start date in office is Monday, 10th November 2025.

With noted decades of leadership in public service, extensive international training, a wealth of professional experience, and Canadian contacts at the highest and diverse levels by way of his outstanding law enforcement career, Consul General, Fernander, is well qualified and equipped to strengthen our nation’s community presence in Canada, lead our Consulate team to help shape this dynamic new era, and hold true to his first internal meeting commitment to ensure that talented young Bahamian professionals and students are respected and recognized now to advance our country’s diplomatic ties and growth.
