HC Gomez In High-Powered Embassy Meeting In London

The Bahamas High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Paul Andy Gomez, met with two top executives at the Christian Embassy in London on Monday the 22nd of June 2026, as Dr Michael Leary, the first full-time Executive Director of Christian Embassy London, transitions to the New York office after being assigned to London in 2010.

Dr. Leary will be succeeded in London at the Christian Embassy by former investment manager Young-Jin (YJ) Shin.

Discussed at the lunch meeting were issues related wealth and poverty, empowerment, entrepreneurship, family values, and everyday challenges that families and communities face, in addition to Dr. Leary’s transition from London within days.

Over the past three years Dr. Leary and the Christian Embassy have supported key initiatives organised by The Bahamas High Cimmission in London.

The Christian Embassy is accredited as a NGO at the United Nations, and its stated mission is that “the Christian Embassy is a non-political, non-denominational NGO. Our desire is to serve the spiritual and social needs of London’s diplomatic community through dialogue, special events, and networking with leaders in the public and private sectors. We believe that the worthy goals of international understanding, individual responsibility, and love for your neighbour, are affirmed in the teachings of Jesus and anchored in a reverence for God.”
