Guyana’s Independence Day
The Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas has formally congratulated the Government of the Republic of Guyana on the occasion of the fifty first anniversary of its Independence in 1966 on 26th May. The Republic of Guyana shares membership in the Commonwealth of Nations and the Caribbean Community with the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
The President of Guyana, Hon. Brigadier David Granger paid a state visit to The Bahamas in early March of this year, 2017.
