CELEBRATIONS OF THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE OPENING OF THE EMBASSY OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS IN HAVANA, CUBA AND THE BAHAMAS 43RD ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE

This year stands out for the Embassy of The Bahamas in Havana, Cuba, as it celebrates not only The Bahamas 43rd Anniversary of Independence it will have the honour to commemorate and relive the occurrences of the historical milestone of the 10th Anniversary of the Opening of the Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in Havana, Cuba.

On Sunday 17th July, 2016, the date of the official opening in 2006, a Service of Thanksgiving at the Episcopal Cathedral in Vedado will take place. Immediately following the Service of Thanksgiving, the Reenactment of the Flag Raising Ceremony, as well as a Luncheon and Exhibition will take place, at the Embassy.

A “Splash of Bahamian Splendour” will culminate these events on Monday 18th July, 2016, when a Gala Reception at the Official Residence, will showcase Bahamian culture, cuisine and music. Special Bahamian entertainment will be provided by the RBPF Pop Band. Bahamian Dignitaries are expected to grace the events with their presence as well as Cuban Officials, the Diplomatic Corps and Friends of The Bahamas.
