AMBASSADOR JOUDI PRESENTS CREDENTIALS IN DUBAI
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — His Excellency Tony Joudi formally presented his Letters of Credence to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai on the Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the Al Mushrif Palace, United Arab Emirates, as the first (non-resident) Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary from The Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In June 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration announced the appointment by the Prime Minister Rt. Hon Perry Christie of Ambassador Mr. Joudi as Non- Resident Ambassador of The Bahamas to the UAE.
Mr. Joudi, who is a Civil Engineer, has also been appointed by the Government of The Bahamas as Commissioner General of The Bahamas’ Pavilion for Expo 2020, which will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
On Wednesday in the UAE, he presented his credentials along with the Ambassadors of Togo, Samoa, Estonia, Niger, Malawi, Vatican City, Lithuania, Paraguay, Cambodia, Georgia, Namibia, Mali and the People’s Republic of China.
The Ambassador was accompanied to the ceremony by his wife Mrs. Joan Michelle Joudi Foreign Service Officer Ms. Joy A. Newbold and Foreign Service Officer Mr. Jamahl D. Strachan.
