Bahamas Consulate In Los Angeles to Officially Open
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas is pleased to announce that on 19 February 2024, Prime Minister the Honourable Philip Edward Davis K.C. M.P., Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, will officially open The Bahamas Consulate General Los Angeles.
The opening of the Consulate in a strategic jurisdiction reaffirms the commitment of the Davis Administration to protect all Bahamians and, further the country’s economic interests, and provide consular support for Bahamians on the West coast of the United States.
The Consulate General, Los Angeles, will be headed by Consul General Ms. Joy A. Newbold. The office will eventually house The Bahamas Tourism and Investment Offices.
Foreign Minister the Honourable Frederick A. Mitchell, M.P., welcomes the opening of the Consulate General, Los Angeles, and congratulates Consul General Newbold.
Foreign Minister Mitchell anticipates that this office will not only provide consular services it will help forge people-to-people connections and will bring Bahamians one step closer to Bahamian Arts and Culture being performed internationally.
The Bahamas Consulate General Los Angeles is located in the Center West Building, 10877 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 600, Los Angeles, California, 90024. The Consulate will observe official Bahamian Government office hours except for Bahamian and local host country holidays.
