Friday, 17 November 2023.
Consul General Mr Patrick Adderley enjoyed hosting members of the Bahamian diaspora in the area at the Embassy Annex’s Second Annual Open House. CG Adderley marks the occasion by noting, “There are three missions here to serve you: The Embassy of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, headed by Ambassador Wendall K. Jones, Organization of American States (OAS), headed by Ambassador Chet Neymour, and our office, Bahamas Embassy Consular Annex”.
Stressing the importance of the Consular Annex, as it is the “tentacle” that connects and engages the Bahamian Diaspora through various services provided but not limited to Trade, Investment, Cultural and Tourism Affairs, Community Outreach, Passport Renewals, Visas, Document Authentications, and Distressed Nationals in Washington, D.C., and the surrounding twenty-three states. The Consular Annex is committed to connecting and engaging with Bahamians and the business sector within our jurisdiction, bridging the gap between them and The Bahamas.”
Attendees were treated to a taste of a variety of Bahamian dishes such as fried snapper, peas and rice, conch chowder, and guava pudding.
