Breaking News – Security Emergency in Montego Bay, Jamaica – Bahamian Students Safe

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs  is aware of the reports of the security emergency in  Montego Bay, Jamaica. We are in touch with the Honorary Consul  of The Bahamas in Jamaica and she has confirmed that there are no reports of Bahamians who have been affected. The Bahamian students who are in Jamaica  are in the  Kingston and Mandeville  areas where there is no state of emergency in effect. We pray for the safety and well being of all persons at this difficult time as we stand in solidarity with the Government and People of Jamaica.
