COMMONWEALTH DAY 2025: TOGETHER WE THRIVE

10th March, 2025, Nassau, The Bahamas. In commemoration of Commonwealth Day, The Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Jerusa Ali, paid a courtesy visit to the Principal of CV Bethel Senior High School, Ms. Monique Miller, and delivered an inspiring address to students during a special assembly on this year’s Commonwealth Day theme, Together We Thrive.
The assembly was attended by Honorary Consuls from Commonwealth nations, including Mr. Gerard Wirth (Malta), Mr. Jairam Mangra (Guyana), and Mr. Edison Sumner (Namibia), underscoring the rich diversity and unity within the Commonwealth, and the talents of the students in music, dance and fashion were on full display.
Director General Ali’s remarks highlighted the profound impact of collaboration among nations in addressing global challenges, and amplifying collective voices for a brighter, sustainable future. She emphasized that the Commonwealth remains a powerful example of what can be achieved through mutual cooperation, ensuring that every member – regardless of size or economic standing – plays a role in shaping a shared destiny.
