Director General Jerusa Léa Ali delivers remarks at the 2024 Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration

Embracing the values of unity and diversity at the heart of people-to-people diplomacy, Ambassador Jerusa Ali shared warm greetings on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the 2024 Chinese Lunar New Year Celebrations last night.

Held in the Elizabeth Ballroom of the newly renovated British Colonial Hotel, the event featured a carefully curated menu of delicious Chinese cuisine, calligraphy, tea tasting, door prizes and raffles, stunning performances by the Bahamas National Childrens’ Choir, a chorale performance by the students of San Pedro School in Chinese, with a spirited Junkanoo rushout by the Redland Soldiers.

Today, on the occasion of minor New Year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends best wishes to all Chinese friends in The Bahamas and worldwide for a healthy and prosperous Year of the Dragon!
