Embassy/Permanent Mission of The Bahamas meets with Pan American Development Foundation, September 8 2017
Washington, D.C.– Mr. Chet Neymour, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy/ Interim Representative of The Bahamas, met with officials of the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) on September 8 2017 to discuss opportunities for support from the PADF, and appropriate mechanisms to facilitate the efficient access and delivery of their assistance in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
Established in 1962 by the Organization of American States, the PADF is a nonprofit organization with a mandate to respond to natural disasters in Latin America and the Caribbean. The PADF previously offered disaster relief assistance to The Bahamas following Hurricane Joaquin in 2015 and Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
