Expression of Condolences on the Passing of Dr Eugene Newery

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to express sincere condolences on the passing of Dr. Eugene Newry. 

Twice Ambassador Extraordinaire, Ambassador Newry received two appointments under the two non-consecutive Christie Administrations; the first as ambassador to Haiti and the latter as ambassador plenipotentiary to the United States.

 We remember Dr. Newry as a Bahamian Diplomat of the highest order, whose commitment and service to The Bahamas was unwavering. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.
