“Golden Goodies Johnny Cake Mixed Launched in the United Kingdom, UK Staffer Wins Award

27th January, 2025, London, England, UK. Popular Bahamian product, “Golden Goodies”, Johnny Cake Mix, was officially launched in the United Kingdom on Friday the 24th January 2025 at The Bahamas High Commission in London.

It was very well received, along with Chicken Souse, which were prepared by Dr Terry Rolle, wife of Ambassador Paul Rolle, Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization.

“Golden Goodies” is the product of young Bahamian Entrepreneur and Baker Nejmi Burnside, who wishes to continue to expand the distribution of his popular Bahamian Johnny Cake Mix internationally.

The launch of “Golden Goodies” at the Bahamas High Commission in London was quite timely because it occurred when The Bahamas High Commission introduced its new Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Antonio Butler Jr, and the Mission in London celebrated Diplomat and Attorney at The Bahamas High Commission, Ms. Julika Thompson, being awarded “Consul of The Year 2024 for the Caribbean”, along with birthday celebrations for two High Commission staff, who had birthdays in the last two months (Administrator Mrs. Natasha Williams and Diplomat Mr. Kemico Sands, respectively).

Also, staff member and popular cook, Ms. Patricia Rungden, prepared delicious dishes, including her signature spicy barbecue chicken, that were all enjoyed.

Friday the 24th January 2025 was another very good day at The Bahamas Commission in London.
