Greetings For Eid al-Fitr, 2025
Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas. 30th March, 2025
In recognition of the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas has the pleasure to convey warm wishes of, “Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak” (“Blessed Festival of the Feast”), to all Muslims around the world. Specifically, the Ministry has the honour to extend heartfelt wishes toward Muslim-majority states currently engaged in formal diplomatic relations with The Bahamas.
Eid Al-Fitr or, “Festival of The Feast”, officially marks the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan and is a period of celebration for Muslims the world over. Also, it is a time for family members, loved ones and fellow believers to gather in a spirit of gratitude to God for successfully fulfilling the daily fasting and other religious duties obligated on Muslims by the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Eid Al-Fitr facilitates focus on family ties and unity through communal prayer, the sharing of meals and the exchange of gifts. Additionally, it is a time when Muslims give “Zakat”, (food offerings to fellow Muslims facing financial challenges), and expend great effort in performing charitable deeds toward fellow members of society. Undoubtedly, the kindness and community spirit invoked by Eid Al-Fitr provides the international community with an alternative to the current suffering endured by many persons around the world.
To all of The Bahamas’ Muslim friends and partners, Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak!
