H.E. Lynes, New CARICOM Ambassador Meets Secretary General.

CARICOM Secretary-General Dr. Carla Barnett, seen left in photo, held bilateral discussions with the recently accredited Ambassador of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to CARICOM, Her Excellency Robyn D. Lynes, on Thursday, 17 September.

Following Ambassador Lynes’ virtual accreditation on Monday, 14 September, the officials met in person ahead of the Third CARICOM Regional Conference on Reparations, which begins today at Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle.

During the meeting, Dr Barnett presented Ambassador Lynes with a CARICOM pin and reaffirmed CARICOM’s ongoing support for The Bahamas.

Ambassador Lynes conveyed greetings from the Hon. Philip Davis, KC, Prime Minister of The Bahamas, and emphasized The Bahamas’ longstanding commitment to the Caribbean Community.
