H.E. Melanie Hilton Presents Credentials to President Nicholas Maduro of Venezuela

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is proud to announce Mrs.Melanie Hilton is now the first Bahamian Ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Ambassador Hilton presented her credentials to President Nicolas Maduro on Monday 13th March 2023.

Ambassador Hilton has over twenty-six years of experience in the financial services industry. She has an extensive background in international and multicultural affairs and has a Master of Law degree from the University of Liverpool.

During her tenure, Ambassador Hilton hopes to achieve a mutually beneficial relationship with Venezuela and noted that her appointment was primarily to advance bilateral relations between both countries.

The presentation ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Caracas, Venezuela where President Nicolas Maduro and Foreign Minister Yvan Gils graciously received the Bahamian Ambassador.
