Her Excellency Cindy McCain Visits The Commonwealth of The Bahamas
H.E. Winston Pinnock, The Bahamas Ambassador to Food & Agricultural Organization (FAO), received H.E. Cindy McCain, the United States Ambassador and delegation, Sunday, 29th January LPIA.
Ambassador McCain and a delegation of officials from the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the US Permanent Mission to the FAO are in The Bahamas to tour several agricultural and food processing sites throughout the country to promote cooperation on food security and sustainability matters between the US and The Bahamas.
The Honorable Clay Sweeting, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Family Island Affairs and Ambassador Pinnock will lead the delegation that will escort Ambassador McCain and the US officials to Eleuthera and Grand Bahama on Monday, 30 January 2023.
The delegation will be met on Grand Bahama by the Honourable Ginger Moxey, Minister of Grand Bahama.
On Tuesday, 31 January 2023, Ambassador McCain will pay courtesy calls on Prime Minister the Honourable Philip B.A. Davis, K.C., M.P. and visit Tropic’s Seafood’s fish farm.
This visit underscores the Davis Administration’s commitment to bilateral and international cooperation on essential matters like food security and the agricultural and economic development of The Family Islands.
