The Government and People of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, offer congratulations to the Government and People of the Republic of Iceland celebrating the seventy-six (76^th  )anniversary of Independence.

The Bahamas and Iceland are interrelated through membership at the United Nations, where we collaborate on many issues of mutual concern such as international peace and security, the rule of law and the promotion of sustainable development.

The Bahamas and Iceland established diplomatic ties in 1977. Since then, the relationship between both countries has been friendly and cooperative. exhibit willingness towards technical support and co-operation.

The Bahamas, as it applauds Iceland  on the observance of its National Day, remains committed to the strengthening of a friendly relationship between both countries
