In Response to Comments in the Press on Visa Programme

It has come to the Ministry’s attention that there was a statement in the news implying that there is prejudice against a specific nationality when it comes to properly entering The Bahamas.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs wishes to emphasize that there is no legal obstacle to any nationality applying for a visa to enter The Bahamas or obtaining a work permit to enter The Bahamas legitimately.

Any foreign individual intending to enter The Bahamas legitimately may apply for a

visa through the Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where that visa is

required by the regulations, all our embassies, and consulates, in person or online
