Washington DC – Hon. Jeffrey Lloyd, Minister of Education, concluded his Working Visit to Washington DC by chairing the Planning Meeting of Authorities of the Inter-American Committee on Education at the Organization of American States on September 28th-29th, 2017.
The meeting focused on crafting a work plan for the Committee for 2017-2019 to prioritize areas of action for education cooperation projects, to concretize opportunities for intersectoral collaboration with other OAS Ministerial processes such as those involving Labour and Science and Technology, to consider prospective funding mechanisms for the work of the Committee and to decide on how the education work at the OAS would be integrated into the agenda of the upcoming Summit of the Americas to be convened in April 2018 in Peru.
