Minister The Hon. Frederick Mitchell, Top Ministry Officials Discuss Climate Change with South Korean Delegation

Officials from The Bahamas’ Foreign Service, led by Foreign Minister The Hon.  Frederick A. Mitchel MP, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Jamahl Strachan, Permanent Secretary Mr. Eugene Poitier and Director-General Jerusa Ali, met with counterparts from South Korea’s Foreign Ministry and business sector, including the Korean Ambassador to The Bahamas and the Vice Chairman of the SK Group—a pivotal tech and renewables player.

Discussions covered climate change adaptation, mitigation, and South Korea’s potential in renewable energy. Both delegations explored options for further Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for economic empowerment, such as supporting tech-sector start-ups.
