Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Open Consulate in Toronto
The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of the Consulate General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday, 15th April 2023, under the patronage of the Hon. Philip E. Davis KC MP, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Hon. Frederick A. Mitchell M.P. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Public Service.
Consulate General, Toronto is headed by Consul General Al Dillette, tasked with opening The Bahamas’ newest consulate upon his appointment.
Consul General Mr Dillette is a public relations specialist, having served in numerous roles, including Director General of Information, Press Attache to former Prime Minister Perry Christie, Director of Communications for the Foreign Ministry, Manager of The Bahamas Olympic Committee, and as national Broadcaster.
The Consulate General’s coverage will extend to the Canadian Providence of Ontario, Québec City, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Halifax, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
