Oriental Republic of Uruguay 195TH National DaY

The Government and People of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas extend congratulations to the Government and People of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay as they celebrate their National Day.

Having established diplomatic ties in 1978, exchanges between The Bahamas and Uruguay are within the framework of the membership in the United Nations (UN), The Organization of the American States (OAS) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States CELAC.

The Bahamas remains confident that these relations will be further strengthened and enhanced in the years to come.

The Bahamas congratulates the Oriental Republic of Uruguay on 195 years of Independence and excellence.
