Parliamentary Secretary Jamahl Strachan Addresses the OAS General Assembly

Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bahamas, Mr. Jamahl D. Strachan addressed the 54th General Assembly of the Organization of American States.

In his remarks, Parliamentary Secretary Strachan commended the work taken by OAS member states to help stabilize Haiti, reiterating the need for multilateral cooperation and humanitarian support. He also pledged our country’s support for Guyana while calling for a peaceful resolution in the country’s border dispute. In addition, he encouraged the Organization to participate in more international climate change initiatives and climate change financing.
