Permanent Secretary receives British High Commissioner Designate

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eugene Poitier on Monday 5 September 2022, received High Commissioner Designate Tom Hartley of the United Kingdom at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on West Bay Street.

Mr. Poitier and Mr. Thomas Hartley discussed various ways The Bahamas may benefit from technical and educational assistance through the British High Commission. The success of the recently formed Bahamas Foreign Service Institute was also a topic of discussion between both gentlemen.

The call on the Permanent Secretary ended with renewed assurances to strengthen the friendship and ties between both nations.
