The newly established Organizing Committee for DUBAI EXPO 2020 held its first Press Conference today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, Goodman’s Bay Corporate Center.
This press conference focused on providing the public with information on Bahamas’ Decision to Participate in the EXPO and also details on the Establishment of the National Committee.
In attendance was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Fred Mitchell (center), Permanent Secretary Mrs. Sheila Carey (left of the Minister), Ambassador to the UAE and the State of Qatar H.E. Tony S. Joudi (right of the Minister) along with Mrs. Sharon Brennen Haylock (far right) who’s the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also Chair of the Committee.
Additionally, committee representatives from other Government Agencies including the Ministry of Tourism, Works, BAIC and the College of The Bahamas were also present.
