25th February, 2026. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg Michelier as Ambassador at Large with responsibility for Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) effective 19th January 2026.

Mr. Michelier brings a wealth of professional knowledge, expertise, and experience to this role. His global connections and technological talents bode well in ensuring that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, by extension, The Bahamas keep pace with the advancement and dynamics of cutting-edge technology worldwide.

Among his responsibilities is coordinating technological developments internationally with both the private and public sectors in The Bahamas.
