Secretary General to the UN Credentials Presentation

UN Headquarters, New York– H.E. Ms. Sheila Carey, Permanent Representative of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Nations, presented Credentials to H.E. Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.

On behalf of The Bahamas Government, the Permanent Representative welcomed the opportunity to strengthen the longstanding relationship of mutual support between The Bahamas and the United Nations, particularly in light of the recent devastation of Hurricane Irma within the region.

Following the presentation, a brief meeting between the Permanent Representative and the Secretary-General took place during which key areas of national priority were discussed.
