The Bahamas Launches Passport Services in the United Arab Emirates

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Passport Office, is proud to announce the opening of a passport office at the Embassy of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, 22nd January 2026.

Officials from the Passport Office, the Consular Division, and the Embassy took the opportunity to engage directly with members of the Bahamian diaspora, marking an important step in strengthening outreach and service delivery to Bahamians abroad.

Mrs. Sofia Ramsay-Turner, Mr. Otero O’Bainyear, and Ms. Amy Bullard were among the first three people to utilize the newly available services. During this engagement, officials facilitated introductions among participants and explored additional opportunities and avenues for collaboration, support, and reintegration for Bahamians living overseas and those considering a transition back to The Bahamas.

The Ministry remains committed to expanding access to essential passport and consular services, strengthening ties with the Bahamian diaspora, and ensuring that citizens abroad remain connected, supported, and engaged in national development.
