The Bahamas Sends Hurricane Relief Supplies to Grenada

Yesterday, the Cabinet of the Bahamas sent aid supplies to Grenada to assist with the restoration of their nation in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.

Hurricane Beryl made landfall Monday, directly hitting Carriacou, part of Grenada in the Windward Islands.

Grenadian Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell said, “In half an hour, Carriacou was flattened,”

Hurricane Beryl has killed at least one person and is leaving a trail of destruction across the Caribbean as the now Category 5 storm moves toward Jamaica.

The Bahamas will maintain communications with our regional allies and assist as best as we can.

As we pray for God’s continued protection of the Bahamas and its citizens, let us also pray for our Grenadian neighbors and our other regional neighbors.
