The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sends Condolences to Chile on the Passing of Former President Sebastian Piñera

NASSAU, The Bahamas – February 6, 2024 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas conveys its condolences to the Embassy of the Republic of Chile on the passing of former President H.E. Sebastian Piñera on February 6, 2024.

Former President Piñera, a key figure in Latin American politics for over a decade, is remembered for his efforts to foster integration between Chile and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The Ministry extends its sympathy to the Government of Chile and the family of the late President Piñera.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas reaffirms its commitment to maintaining strong relations with the Republic of Chile and expresses its highest consideration to the Republic of Chile during this time of mourning.
