VENEY PAYS COURTESY CALL ON AMBASSADOR

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Mr. Jason Veny, a labour lawyer with the Washington-based law firm Murphy Anderson PLLC, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dr. Eugene Newry, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, at the Bahamas Embassy, 2220 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., on Friday, March 3, 2017. Mr. Veny and his wife Mrs. Dariely Rodriguez-Veny, who is also a lawyer, recently moved to Washington from Brooklyn, New York, and he said he decided to visit The Bahamas Embassy to meet with Ambassador Newry because he has strong family ties in The Bahamas. He said that his grandfather, William Lloyd, was born in The Bahamas but moved to Brooklyn in 1939 and was the son of Marion Pyfrom and a cousin of the late noted Bahamian lawyer Eugene Dupuch.
