Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advisory for Israel

 

The Government of Israel has declared a state of emergency within 80km of the border with Gaza. All international borders in Israel could be closed at short notice. Please check with your airline and/or travel insurer before travelling and avoid fraudulent websites offering evacuation flights.

The Ministry advises against all travel to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian territories. The Ministry further advises against all but essential travel to other parts of the region.

If you are currently in Israel, please call 104 and/or refer to notices from the Israeli Home Front Command: www.oref.org.il/en for more information. Please follow the instructions of local authorities in your area.

Do not under any circumstances travel to: Gaza; Sheba’a Farms and Ghajjar; any location within 500m of the border with Lebanon east of Metula, including the northern edge of the town and within 500m of the border with Syria; areas north of and including Jenin city, Burqin and Arranah in the north of the West Bank; the city of Nablus, Joseph’s Tomb, and the Balata and New Askar refugee camps near Nablus and the village of Huwara, south of Nablus.
